2024 SCCM Texas Chapter Annual Symposium Abstract Submission

Eligibility Criteria
Practitioner from all disciplines of critical care medicine who fulfill the criteria listed below are encouraged to apply:Current membership with SCCM Texas Chapter (can be a new membership with Symposium registration)
Critical care medicine research completed within the previous 12 months
This research may have previously been presented in abstract form or as a poster, but cannot be a published peer-reviewed manuscript
Research in project and case reports will be accepted, but will not be eligible for awards

Research abstracts will be categorized into two (2) submission categories:
Completed or In-progress Research
Case reports

Application Process
Only the presenter may submit the application and must be listed as the primary author
Abstracts may be submitted starting July 1, 2024 and must be submitted by midnight (CDT), August 4, 2024. The highest quality abstract submitted will receive 1st place and free Symposium registration, as well as up to $600 to be used towards any SCCM or SCCM Texas chapter activities for up to 2 years following the award.
The second highest scoring abstract will receive 2nd place and free Symposium registration, as well as up to $400 to be used towards any SCCM or SCCM Texas chapter activities for up to 2 years following the award.

Approved SCCM or SCCM Texas chapter activities include: SCCM Texas Chapter Membership Registration Fees SCCM Texas Annual Symposium Registration Fees SCCM Membership Registration Fees SCCM Congress Registration Fees


Selection Process
If accepted, your abstract will be presented as a 4-minute powerpoint research snapshot platform presentation. Additionally, it will be considered for one of two awards for Best Symposium Abstract.
