The Town of Brookline and the MBTA recently installed a dedicated bus lane pilot project to improve bus travel times and reliability for riders. The bus lanes, located along Washington Street between Station Street and the Boston city line, serve MBTA bus routes 60, 65, and 66 and are accessible to emergency vehicles and Longwood Collective shuttles. Installation began in late June 2024 and concluded late September 2024. The year-long pilot project will be evaluated through a data-driven approach that examines elements including transit performance, traffic patterns and volumes, as well as public input.
For the purposes of this survey, “project area” refers to Washington Street between Station Street and the Boston city line.
