SAMHSA Mental Health and Substance Use Block Grant
The Combined Community Mental Health Block Grant (MHBG) and Substance Use Prevention, Treatment, and Recovery Services (SUPTRS) Block Grant are federal funding programs designed to support the mental health and substance use needs of individuals across Alaska. These grants provide essential resources to enhance community-based services, promote recovery, and improve the overall quality of behavioral health care.
Thank you for taking the time to participate in this survey. Your input is crucial in guiding the Alaska Mental Health Board and the Advisory Board on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse as we review the Combined Community Mental Health Block Grant (MHBG) and Substance Use Prevention, Treatment, and Recovery Services (SUPTRS) Block Grant application for Alaska. While the Alaska Department of Health is not obligated to adopt our recommendations, your feedback will help us understand behavioral health providers’ perspectives, their involvement with these grants, and their insights on the current application. Please note that while your responses will inform our review process, there is no guarantee they will result in specific actions by the Department of Health.
