Can the publishing industry adjust to a world without live events?

The publishing industry has long relied on face-to-face interaction, but many key events large and small have been canceled or moved online this year in order to ensure the health and safety of attendees. While some aspects of conferences and book fairs are transferrable to a virtual format, others clearly are not.

Cenveo Publisher Services is conducting an informal survey to weigh how the cancellation and/or migration to online events is impacting business—or if the industry even needs in-person events any longer. Please take a few minutes to respond to the questions below and provide any additional feedback.
1.In a given year, what information industry events do you typically attend? (Select all that apply)
2.In the last two months, which types of virtual substitute events shave you attended? (Select all that apply)
3.What benefits do you perceive in attending virtual events in lieu of live ones? (Select all that apply)
4.What aspects of live conventions and meetings do you find you are missing this year? (Select all that apply)
5.How would your job or business be affected by not attending real world events?
6.Do you think the publishing industry could function without in-person events?
7.What type of organization do you work for?
