Fitzroy Street Christmas Market - Application for stall Sat, Nov 30, 3pm - 6pm

* 1. Stall information, fees, terms and conditions - PLEASE READ, AS VERY IMPORTANT:

It is only $30 for a stall. $10 for under 18's. Free for Fitzroy Street businesses and St Kilda charities/community and sporting groups.

The market is held on the footpaths along Fitzroy Street and you will be placed against business windows. Some of you can be placed under an awning, so no marquee would be necessary. However, there are also locations that are not under awnings, so we need some attendees to bring marquees (with correct weights) :-)

Please be aware that, as you are on the footpath and we need to leave space for people to walk past, stalls can only be made up of a regular sized trestle, no larger than 2m x 1m and any seating you'll need.

If your stall would be made up of clothes racks, please ensure they only take up the same amount of space as a trestle would.

Stallholders will be able to bump in from 2pm for a 3pm start. Check if there is parking available next to where you're located, however, if there isn't, you may need to park first and then trolley items in.

There is no power available.

Please note, this is an expression of interest for a stall. We will still need to approve all applications. It will be a case of first-in, first-served and we may have to turn stallholders away if we have already accepted others who sell your products.

For those accepted, we ask that you please participate in the Christmas theme of the event by dressing yourself/your stall in some sort of Christmassy fashion!

MOST IMPORTANTLY:

1. Please ensure you understand this is held on a main street, not in a market area, therefore locations, layout and foot traffic WILL be different from what you are used to.

2. I work extremely hard to try and ensure EVERYONE is looked after as best as possible, however, as this is a Main Street, not all locations are going to work the same and it can differ from year to year. I am sorry, but there will be no requesting changes of stall location once allocated.

3. Please understand this is a big event to manage and it is extremely stressful, especially on the day. Always treat myself and my staff with respect and understanding. We will not abide by abuse from stall holders if the event isn't meeting your individual expectations.

4. As I advertise all stallholders in the lead up to the event, and on the webpage, please email (or if it's on the day, text me) ASAP if you can't make the event. Please don't just not turn up as attendees might be looking for your stall and it doesn't look great if they can't find you.

* 7. What products/items will you be selling on your stall? Please be very specific ie. if it is jewellery please let us know the exact type - handmade, silver, semi precious stones and so on. So we can be sure we don't have too many stalls selling the same thing. Plus, as we have the event on Fitzroy Street, we have to ensure we don't clash with what traders already offer.

Exclusivity: we will endeavour to have max two stalls selling any one kind of a product, however, we cannot guarantee this will be the case.

Stallholders selling food: Any stallholders selling food of any kind, even packaged food designed to be consumed later, will need to be registered through Street Trader (https://streatrader.health.vic.gov.au/) and will need to send the council their statement of trade to apply for the permit to trade ASAP.
