Community Resilience Program - Community Grants - Call for first round of funding applications
Call for projects ready to apply for grant funding
Calling all Gunnedah businesses, community groups, sporting groups, progress associations and others.
Gunnedah Shire Council has been invited to apply for a further $1 million in funding for community projects and we are seeking your proposals.
Projects will be shortlisted against the criteria and selected projects will then go on through to the next level of developing a detailed grant funding application with support from Council.
Council is calling on locals to submit project proposals that will employ local people, use local suppliers, stimulate the economy and will provide a long-lasting benefit to our community.
Projects which are 'shovel ready', have designs and approvals and have been costed via quotes from local suppliers will be well regarded.
Please ensure your project meets as many of the program objectives listed below as possible and take the time to read the program guidelines.
· Deliver economic stimulus to the local economy · Provide local employment and support local purchasing · Address water and other utility conservation · Sustain the community social fabric, health and wellbeing · Provide a public benefit and lasting legacy · Strengthen long-term community resilience, and · Support and co-ordinate efforts with others (government and non-government).
