The Project
Wauchope Chamber is seeking to partner with local businesses to develop a Wauchope and Hinterland Tourist Map. The Map will be a printed fold out brochure highlighting to tourists visiting Port Macquarie all the unique attractions and experiences that exist “West of the highway” with the goal to encourage travellers to visit, stay and spend in Wauchope and the Hinterland communities.
In order to get this off the ground we need all businesses of interest to tourists to partner with us. This includes accommodation & campgrounds, cafes & restaurants, pubs & clubs, activities & experiences, attractions, specialty retail stores, supermarkets and transfer & tour operators. Partner businesses will be located on the map by a customised graphic icon and a business listing detailing opening hours and contact info. The map extents will cover the Hastings Valley west of the Pacific Highway including Wauchope, Comboyne, Beechwood and Long Flat.
The Benefits
By listing your business on the map you will be not only be bringing attention to your own business but to our community as a whole. The more businesses that appear on the map the more enticing Wauchope and the Hinterland will appear to tourists.
The Details
An initial print of 10,000 maps is planned. These will be distributed throughout Port Macquarie on all major brochure racks at accommodation and visitor information stands. It is expected that this print run will last 1 year of distribution. A digital version of the map will be included on the Wauchope Chamber website and be available for partner businesses to distribute as they see fit.
The map will be created by local Graphic designer, Jemma Ortiger from Saturday Design Studio, and printed in Wauchope by M&S Offset, so all your investment stays local.
The Cost
