Commercial translation management system automation task forces:

Description: Two issues need to be resolved: 

1. A security issue: TLS 1.1 which Transact is using has reached its end-of-life in March 2020. In order to continue supporting it, it is important to make security-related changes. 

2. Transline has to fix an API bug that prevents the connection from giving us prices. After they release the hotfix, BeLazy will enable the automated project creation. Transline has requested us to pay for the fix.

5.SDL WorldServer project creation

Minimum total contribution: 8000 €

Description: SDL Worldserver is widely used in enterprise settings, and both MLVs and SLVs often have to interact with this system. This allows monitoring of incoming projects in Worldserver, and creating and downloading Worldserver packages automatically, uploading all information to your business management system. After project creation, we plan to extend support to full automation.

6.Lionbridge JIRA project creation - development

Minimum total contribution: 3500 €

Description: Lionbridge JIRA (APS) is used exclusively for one of Lionbridge's largest customers with very frequent jobs. This integration will allow monitoring, registering and accepting these projects.

7.SDL TMS automation - research

Minimum total contribution: 4000 €

Description: SDL TMS is a popular older-generation translation management system still being used by several organizations. While it’s not deemed to be modern, it will most likely continue to be around a while. This task force aims to examine the feasibility of integrating with various SDL TMS portals, without having to log in to SDL TMS.

8.XTM automation - research

Minimum total contribution: 4000 €

Description: XTM is a popular modern translation management system. There are at least two scenarios to work with XTM: as a named vendor (translator) or receiving projects in your instance of XTM. Our goal is to develop total automation of online project workflows in both cases.

9.Across automation – research

Minimum total contribution: 4000 €

Description: Across and CrossWeb are widely used technologies especially used by enterprises in the DACH region. We aim to establish best practices – with the help of Across’ team – to remove the project management overhead for language service providers, which often involves long waiting times. Once the research is done, we’ll be in a position to develop an automated solution that meets the requirements of all task force members.

10.SDL Language Cloud automation - research

Description: SDL Language Cloud is SDL’s new-generation cloud-based translation management system. It is highly automatable, and during this exercise, we’ll establish a best practice integration scenario and evaluate its feasibility.

13.Crowdin automation - research

Description: Crowdin is one of the popular developer-oriented translation management systems. Together with Crowdin’s developers, we aim to set up a convenient solution for LSPs to connect their translators to Crowdin customers’ workflows. This task force will cover the research phase that will ultimately lead to implementation.

Description: Phrase (formerly PhraseApp) is a growing developer-oriented translation management system. Description: SAP works exclusively with single language vendors to translate their materials. This task force aims to provide a platform and examine the possibilities of automating a large part of this process.

18.Moravia Oddjob – feasibility study

Minimum total contribution: 1500 €

Description: Oddjob is the vendor portal of RWS Moravia used for managing Microsoft projects. Oddjob works with two-factor authentication. The goal of this project is to check the feasibility of overcoming this barrier. Once finalized, another task force will be set up for the actual implementation.
