PBL Acknowledgement Process

This survey is to review and update our PBL Acknowledgement Processes in line with feedback gathered from staff, students and parents.

Below are proposals that can be used in conjunction to update our processes. When responding, you will be asked to respond "Yes" or "No" and provide comment.

Please note the following considerations are taken into account with the proposals.

- CARE Credits are central to our acknowledgement processes, freely and frequently handed out and students acknowledge they generally understand why they are handed out.
- Parents appreciate CARE Certificates and enjoy watching their child receive with some parents identifying times they were not informed their child would receive one.
- Parents add comment identifying concerns around how many CARE Certificates are handed as “whole classes” stand up to receive at times.
- Teachers identify workload in tracking and managing of CARE Credits

Question Title

* 1. CARE Credits

CARE Credits will continue to be used as an acknowledgement of students meeting and exceeding expectations at school. They will continue to be stored in grid sheets or booklets as determined by the teacher. When a grid sheet is complete, students will receive a CARE Card. Half of this card would be taken home and the other half deposited into a House Box for a weekly draw on parade.

Question Title

* 2. CARE Card

The CARE Card will be placed into a House Box for one student to be selected weekly. Entries will be emptied each week and placed in the end of term draw for a second-chance draw. House Captains will tally CARE Credits weekly to award a House Champion each term with tallies reset for the new term.
