Arafmi is inviting family, friends, kin, and community members who care for and support someone with mental ill-health to participate in a new Community of Practice.

A Community of Practice brings together people with a common interest, to share information and expertise and to collaborate on solving problems and bringing about social or system change.

This Community of Practice will:
  • meet 4 – 6 times a year through an online platform, so that people from across the state can participate
  • share information and expertise on issues of importance to mental health carers in Queensland, including through involvement of guest speakers and experts
  • develop skills in using lived experience to help bring about systems change (referred to as ‘systemic advocacy’)
  • share opportunities to use those skills to participate in system change activities.

The Community of Practice is due to commence in November 2024. By providing your details below, you will be kept informed of further details as they become available.
