Community Native plant events in community nurseries |
Community nurseries in Motueka and Moutere catchments have been growing first colonising native seedlings for potting up and growing on for their catchment groups.
This is the time of year some of the community nurseries need a little help to finish potting up seedlings to fill their nurseries. And this year they are offering a package of coming to plant along with their seedlings. And there may be some to buy as well.
And other community nursery also offer people an opportunity to learn about how they can grow their own plants. They do this by providing landowners with seedlings, instructions, potting mix and root trainers. The landowner then pots on some seedlings and takes them home to grow on.
