2024 - Round 11 - Application

The Palais Theatre Community Fund (PTCF) provides support to enhance a vibrant and creative St Kilda and City of Port Phillip community.

The Palais Theatre Community Fund provides grants of up to $5000 to eligible charities, not-for-profit organisations and other community groups that support creative and recreational activities, infrastructure purchases and residents within the community of City of Port Phillip. These activities may include:

professional skills development, including mentoring and residencies
creation of new artistic works
practice based research
creative development
collaborations
productions
exhibitions and installations
history research or history tours
activities to develop the arts sector
marketing development
activities that creatively engage communities
recreation activity development
purchase of equipment or infrastructure that supports eligible activities.

Please note applications close on Monday 29th July 2024, 5pm sharp. Late applications will not be accepted.

Funding is competitive and therefore not all applications will be successful.

Funding decisions are made by the Palais Theatre Community Fund Committee and are final. Unsuccessful applicants are able to reapply in future funding rounds, provided they fully meet the eligibility criteria.

All applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application by email, however we are unable to provide detailed feedback to unsuccessful applicants.

Before you complete the application form, please use the following checklist in question 1 to confirm your eligibility.

Question Title

1. Are you eligible for funding? You must meet all of the following criteria to be eligible for funding:

The applicant is a charity or not-for-profit organisation registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profit Commission (ACNC), a sole-trader or another community group or organisation.

The project is located within the City of Port Phillip area.

The project demonstrates benefits the residents of the City of Port Phillip.

The applicant can provide evidence of secured funding from other sources if the project totals more than $5,000.

The project will be completed and acquitted within 6 months from receipt of grant funds.

Audited or certified end of financial year accounts will be provided.

The project falls into one or more of the following categories:
- Infrastructure or equipment;
- City of Port Phillip Community Support; or
- Support for creative arts*
(*Please note: Support for creative arts includes live music, theatre, film, art, dance, comedy, writing and this may include, but is not limited to events, internships and educational courses.)

Any previous PTCF grants received by the applicant have been fully acquitted
