Our job: Outreach, recruitment and selection of 8-10 organizations to participate in an eight month organizational learning exchange.
Your job: If you’d like to participate, please respond to the questions below and let us know why your organization would be a good fit for this learning exchange.
Selection criteria
In reviewing organizations, we are primarily concerned with:
- Are the organization and the participating individuals committed to full and active participation in the learning exchange?
- Is the organization at a place in its equity journey where the learning exchange experience will be effective and useful?
- Are the selected team members from the organization appropriately positioned to make change within their organization?
In building the cohort overall, we are also looking for:
- Geographic diversity across the United States
- A set of organizations that are at similar enough places on their equity journey for a learning cohort to be effective, yet facing different enough questions and challenges to make peer learning exciting and generative.
Your answers to these questions will only be shared with the cohort co-facilitators, Craig White and Nico Chin for the purposes of seating a diverse and effective cohort. Responses will be deleted at the end of the cohort experience.
Please focus on being honest and direct rather than trying to impress us: we know the early stages of an organizational equity journey can be messy, confusing, and sometimes contradictory. Your ‘application’ will help us with cohort selection, but it also provides a ‘baseline’ for yourselves–at the end of the learning exchange, you can look back at this application and see how your thinking and planning has changed.
We estimate this will take about 30 to 45 minutes to complete online. We have provided all of the questions here if you'd like to review them individually or as a group before you fill out this form.
