All Together is a project from the charity Little Troopers bringing military children together to share experiences. In 2025 we will be providing four Family Reconnection Weekends, bringing military families together to take part in new activities promoting connection before or after a period of seperation. There will be child only time, adult only time and time to share as a group across the weekend along with special time as a family away from technology, in the outdoors, trying new experiences.
When: 1700hrs Friday 2nd - 1500hrs Sunday 4th May 2025
Where: Portland, Dorset
What: A weekend of coastal adventurous activities with other military children and families.
Who: Military families with children 9 years (school year 4) +
How much: The weekend is funded so no cost however it is your responsibility to ensure you get your family to and from the activity centre. Accommodation in separate family rooms, food and activities included.
Application: Please complete a form per family.
Example timetable of activities:
Day 1
- Arrive at Centre/Introductions and welcome/Settle in & normal safety procedures
- Chesil Beach evening: Icebreakers, Sunsets and hot chocolates
Day 2
- Coasteering - Exploration of the shoreline by swimming, jumping, scrambling and climbing @Portland Bill.
- Coastal Bushcraft - Mackerel gutting, and cooking on your own fires!
- Catapult Challenge!
Day 3
- Kayaking, Raft Building & MEGA SUPing - A mix of splashing around with games in the kayaks and team building and races on self-built rafts
- Farewells and departures
