What is the impact of personality on internet behaviour?

You are being invited to take part in a research study. It is important for you to understand why the research is being conducted and what it will involve. Please read the following information carefully.

Inclusion criteria
Please, complete this study only if you are an adult, aged between 18 – 49 years old, with proficient written English.

What is the purpose of the study?
This study investigates the impact of personality on internet behavior. You will be asked to fill out several questionnaires, which should take you around 15min to complete. Some questions will require you to reflect on your involvement in harmful internet behavior, which may cause you psychological distress or discomfort. 

Do I have to take part?
Your participation in this study is voluntary. You can withdraw from the study, at any time and for any reason, without having to give a reason to the researcher.

Will my taking part in this study be kept confidential?
All data recorded in this investigation is entirely anonymous. 

What will happen to the results of the research project?
The results will be submitted in a dissertation project to the University of Glasgow in March 2022.
