Annual Death Literacy Survey
Why Complete this Survey?
In the lead up to World Compassionate Communities Day on 1 November 2024, Busselton Hospice Care Inc. are launching the inaugural annual Death Literacy Index survey. World Compassionate Communities Day is a movement that promotes awareness of death and dying, loss and care as everyone's responsibility.
This is a validated survey by the Death Literacy Institute in Australia, which means our results will be comparable with other Australian locations. We've also added a few extra demographic questions and questions about Busselton Hospice Care Inc so that we can continue to deliver free services to our community in ways that matter to you.
The purpose of the survey is to gain insight, each year over many years, of how people living in Busselton and surrounding communities understand topics such as dying, death, and bereavement. It will allow us to better plan, and be more focused in the services, programs, and activities we are involved in.
Thank you for participating in this survey. BHCI are offering a small range of prizes for those who complete the survey and choose to share contact details with us.
NOTE: All data collected will be de-identified, aggregated and stored in accordance with BHCI Confidentiality Policy.
