The economic strategy

Rugby Borough Council has launched its brand new Economic Strategy for consultation.
The strategy will place businesses and people at the heart of the Council’s plan for growth, outlining how the economy will develop between 2025 and 2035.
Recognising how Rugby works as an economy, the strategy has been split into three core priorities focusing on People, Business and Growth. Each theme has a number of commitments on how the Council, working with its partners, stakeholders, businesses and residents will succeed.
To ensure the strategy meets the needs of the wider community, we’re asking a number of questions that will help us refine the document before the final version is adopted in April.
1.What else do you think could be included in the SWOT analysis of the Rugby economy?
2.What if anything would you change about our economic vision for Rugby?
3.In addition to the ‘priorities that unlock opportunities’ already identified, what else would you like to see included?
4.What would ‘better and more available access’ to all healthcare services in Rugby look like to you?
5.What more could Rugby Borough Council do to make its parks and leisure facilities more accessible for all?
6.How easy do you find it to access employment and training support locally?
7.As a business how easy do you find it working with Rugby Borough Council?
8.Where would be the best locations in the Borough to locate business support hubs?
9.How can we make sure the Rugby community, buys local, re-uses and recycles more?
10.How do we all instil a strong sense of ‘pride in place’ where people want to live, work, visit and invest in Rugby?
