Water and Open Government Declaration
The Water and Open Government Declaration is being prepared by the Community of Practice on Water and Open Government (CoP), a joint-initiative lead by Foundation Avina, Stockholm International Water Institute, Water Integrity Network and the World Resources Institute with support from like-minded governments, civil society and water advocates. The CoP’s goal is to strengthen linkages between water and open government reformers to accelerate actions that help realize the human right to water and sanitation.
The Water and Open Government Declaration is an international call for Governments and civil society to commit to ambitious action that improves transparency, engagement and accountability in decision-making about water and sanitation. It is designed to bring multiple communities together working on water and sanitation and open government to create a more united voice across multiple forums to define global priorities that have an impact.
The survey is designed to collect input on the priorities that should be included in the Declaration. For more information on the process and how you can get involved, please contact, the Community of Practice on Water and Open Government: WaterOpenGovernment@siwi.org
