2024 KPUB Power Supply Portfolio Survey

1.KPUB has historically purchased all of the power required to serve our customers on the wholesale power market.

We are now at a point where we can continue purchasing from other suppliers, or we can invest in owning a generation plant to supply part of our needs.
Although owning generation involves risks and a significant financial investment, we believe it will provide stable competitive rates for our customers over the long term.

What best describes how you think KPUB should proceed?
2.Are you satisfied with KPUB's strategy of providing its customers with a diversified power supply mix at the lowest responsible price?
3.Do the fossil fuels in KPUB's power supply portfolio raise any environmental concerns for you?
4.Do you prefer that KPUB continue to use fossil fuels in its power supply portfolio?
5.Does the renewable energy (solar and wind) in KPUB's power supply portfolio raise any concerns about the reliability of our service?
6.If there were no reliability issues with renewables, would you want to continue using renewable energy in KPUB's power supply portfolio?
