Skills and abilities are made up of your experience, your personality and the knowledge you develop both in and outside of school.
Here are some examples:
- Creative thinking: how you come up with different ideas and possibilities
- Digital skills: how you use devices and networks to access and manage information
- Problem solving: how you define an issue, find out what the cause is and identify a solution
When you're at school, the skill "problem solving", might involve how you solve problems in maths or science, or in woodwork or design. But outside of school you might use this skill differently. You might have to solve a creative problem, a social problem or a personal problem.
