Phi Kappa Tau has recently commissioned a Taskforce focused on the topics of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. This taskforce’s charge is to review the Areas of Organizational communication, Education and Programming, and Policy to ensure that Phi Kappa Tau is creating a Diverse, Equitable and Inclusive environment for our students and alumni. The purpose of this survey is to gather the Ideas and suggestions from our membership base to help address these issues. To help define these concepts:
Diversity is the presence of differences that may include race, gender, religion, sexual orientation, ethnicity, nationality, socioeconomic status, language, (dis)ability, age, religious commitment, or political perspective.
Equity is promoting justice, impartiality and fairness within the procedures, processes, and distribution of resources by institutions or systems.
Inclusion is an outcome to ensure those that are diverse actually feel, and are, welcomed. Inclusion outcomes are met when you, your institution, and your program are truly inviting to all.
Each submission will be reviewed by representation of Phi Kappa Tau’s Task Force and followed up on upon request. Please use one submission per idea
