Introduction
Thank you for your interest in representing the United States and USA Ultimate at the 2016 World Ultimate and Guts Championships. This application includes: Information for Players (and Parents as applicable), information about how to apply, and the application itself.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO APPLY?
Players eligible to represent the United States and USA Ultimate on the National teams must meet the following criteria:
A) Residency requirement
1. Be US citizens or have lived in the US for over 2 years

1. Be US citizens or have lived in the US for over 2 years
2. Own a legal certificate of permanent residency issued by the U.S. government, or
3. Have resided in the U.S. at least 2 years prior to the start date of the event and spent more than 75% of those 2 years in the country.

C) Will agree to abide by the team Code of Conduct
E) Will respect the decisions of the selection committee; and
F) Will be able to attend all mandatory training activities and the trip to the World Championship event.
HOW MANY PLAYERS WILL BE CHOSEN FOR THE US TEAMS?
There will be approximately 20-25 players per team.
TIMELINE
October 30, 2015: Application Due Date!
November 23, 2015: Top applicants invited to East or West try-out camps
December 4, 2015: Players invited to tryout camp must confirm attendance.
December 11, 2015: Tryout camp fees due
January (TBD) 2016: Tryout camps (It is required that invited applicants attend tryout camps.)
February TBD 2016: Target date for announcing the team rosters
Date TBD: Confirmation documents & fees due
Date TBD: Practice Tournament (Potential)
Date TBD: Travel to WFDF World Ultimate and Guts Championships

Please know that there is significant expense required for participation. As a non-profit organization, USA Ultimate is interested in attracting sponsorship and grants to support our International Teams. However, until this happens, players must bear most costs themselves. The estimated costs include:
Tryout Camps:
USA Ultimate Membership Dues: $50 (All Applicants)
Camp Fee: $150
Applicant will be responsible for food and transportation. USA Ultimate will work to get a preferred rate at a local hotel for lodging during the camp.
US Team Membership
APPROX TOTAL: $3350 - $5300 (includes player fees, training weekend trips, travel to and from event, room & board at Worlds event).
