Serve Strong: The Corban Scott Goad Memorial Foundation exists to serve and support sideline medical teams in community sports (and First Responders). Our goal is to "fill in the gaps" in a variety of ways. In other words, we hope to provide in ways that other agencies and grants do not. We want to cover things that often don't get covered. We know the needs of sideline support teams in community sports vary based on size of organization, type of organization, location, type of sports or athletic activity, level of competition, governing bodies etc. We also realize resources may be lacking. In YOUR opinion, in YOUR current role selected above, please indicate areas YOU view as the most "URGENT" or "SIGNIFICANT" gaps that need to be filled.

First Aid Kits: Ex. A well-stocked first aid kit with items such as bandages, adhesive tape, antiseptic wipes, ice packs, scissors, tweezers, and disposable gloves.

EAP: An established and rehearsed emergency action plan that outlines the steps to be taken in case of injuries, including contact information for emergency medical services.

Medical Personnel: Trained medical personnel, such as athletic trainers or team doctors, who can assess injuries and provide immediate care.

Communication Devices: Working communication devices, such as radios or cell phones, to quickly contact emergency services or other team personnel.

Hydration Supplies: - Sufficient water and electrolyte-replenishing drinks to keep athletes hydrated during practices and games.

Protective Equipment: Extra helmets, pads, or other protective gear specific to the sport in case of equipment failure or replacement needs etc.

AED(s): An AED should be available, especially for sports with a higher risk of cardiac events. Staff should be trained on how to use it.

Professional Development or Trainings specific to sidelines support

Scholarship(s) to Conferences

Tape and Wrapping/Bracing Supplies: Tape, pre-wrap, and other supplies for the prevention and treatment of minor injuries, particularly in sports that involve a lot of running or jumping.

Weather Gear or Supplies: Ex. items like blankets, rain gear, or cold packs, depending on the weather conditions to protect athletes from environmental hazards

Injury Assessment Tools: Tools for assessing injuries, such as a thermometer for checking body temperature, and tools for evaluating concussion symptoms

Warm Up/Cool Down Equipment: - Mats, foam rollers, and other equipment for warm-up and cool-down exercises to help prevent injuries.
