Understanding your experiences with services

Introduction
We would like to understand the experiences of carers of forensic and corrections patients with services. We are interested in learning about:

Communication: Your experiences in receiving communication from services involved in the care and treatment of the person you care for.

Involvement in Care: The extent to which you, as a family member or carer, have been able to be involved in the care and treatment.

Support: Any support you have received for yourself and the person you care for.

How We Will Use the Findings
The insights gathered from this survey will be used to advocate for improvements to services so that they better meet the needs of families and carers, and the person they are caring for. We will use the findings to:
  • Inform our advocacy with government agencies and other stakeholders through feedback on policies and programs impacting forensic and corrections patients.
  • Write letters to government agencies and other stakeholders informing them about the need for changes and improvements.

Privacy and Confidentiality
Your privacy is important to us. Your responses will be held anonymously in a confidential and secure manner as per MHCN's policy. All data collected will be stored securely on a password protected server.
