🐾 Welcome to our Dog Behaviour Survey! 🐾

Thank you for taking the time to participate in our survey! Your insights are invaluable in helping us understand how the behavior of dogs and their walkers can affect the risk of parasite transmission. By gathering this information, we aim to better comprehend the potential risks our furry friends may encounter in their environments.

Have you ever watched your dog chase a ball into the long grass? Or perhaps witnessed it munching on something it shouldn't have? Maybe it loves rolling around in the mud or indulges in a drink from stagnant puddles? Your observations of these behaviors are exactly what we're interested in! You will be asked some demographic questions about your dog's age, sex, breed, some behavioural questions about what your dog likes to do while out on a walk or in the garden, and some basic health questions relating to anti-parasite treatments, whether your dog has ever had a parasite and if they are currently taking any medication. You will also have the opportunity to tell us about your knowledge and concerns relating to parasite risk and prevention.

The survey should take around 10-30 minutes, depending on how many dogs you have. If you have more than one dog then please fill in the form for one of them and then when you go the next page you will be given the option to add another dog (up to 5). If you have more than five dogs please let us know about those who you have owned most recently first.

Your responses are crucial in helping us develop strategies to minimise the risks our beloved pets face. We want to assure you that your information will be treated with the utmost confidentiality and anonymity, and will be used strictly for academic research purposes only. It will not be used for commercial purposes or divulged to any third party.

If you have any questions or concerns about the survey, please don't hesitate to reach out to us at bmcanoy02@qub.ac.uk. We're here to help!

Once again, thank you for your participation. Let's work together to keep our furry friends safe and happy! 🐶🌟
