Journal of Applied Physics is seeking active researchers in the general field of applied physics, which includes mechanics, materials, and a broad range of engineering disciplines, to join the editorial team as Associate Editors. As an editor on the team, you would help guide the publication process, set the scientific direction and vision in your areas of expertise, represent the journal in your professional activities, and help serve the interests of the applied physics communities. You would play a key role in ensuring the scientific quality of the journal, facilitating a fair and timely peer review process, and selecting manuscripts for publication.

At this time, we are searching for candidates with expertise in two or more of the following areas: superconductivity; terahertz technology; materials for quantum science and engineering; topological properties; sensors; nanofabrication; device processing and performance; meta-materials; micro- and nanoscale heat transfer and thermal energy conversion; phonon transport; thermoelectrics; and phonon-electron interactions.

For over 90 years, Journal of Applied Physics has been an influential, international journal publishing original research, methods, reviews, perspectives, and tutorials across a diverse array of topics within applied physics. To be suitable for publication in JAP, papers are expected to significantly advance the knowledge of applied physics or a closely related discipline, and their conclusions should be likely to have a noteworthy impact on the relevant scientific communities.
