Collecting your own seed and growing them and then planting up your wetlands, riparian strips or planting up non productive land, all can be very rewarding.

Special guest presenter Michael North, renowned local native plant ecologist. Michael has prepared most of the ecology reports in the regions on special areas of bush. This is an opportunity to tap into his knowledge.

Practical seed collection and discuss processing of seed.

Learn about eco-sourcing, seed collection in a remnant forest on a sheep and beef farm. Learn what to add to existing plantings to create some local bush areas.

Bring your own surplus eco-sourced native seed to share or swap.

Bring branches of native plants for identification.

Ask questions about processing seed from members of community nurseries.

Bring something simple for a shared lunch where more discussions can be had.

This event is limited to 20 people and priority will be given to people living in the Motueka catchment.
