Thank you for your interest in sustainable materials management in the US Virgin Islands! If you had a chance to attend our Earth Day series earlier this year then you got a chance to learn about the many challenges (and opportunities!) for solid waste right here in the U.S. Virgin Islands. As a follow up we would like to continue the conversation in the community in order to make a positive change.
We have taken all the ideas shared by the community during the final webinar and identified key themes. Now, we invite you to have a seat at the table, join the discussions and take action. Our proposal is to create various community working groups who will brainstorm and develop an idea within each of these themes. These community working groups will act as think-tanks to develop solutions to some of the issues and challenges we are facing in the USVI. Group leaders will be trained in facilitating creative problem solving in order to help structure these meetings. However the outcomes of these working groups are completely up to you and all ideas are welcome.
