The National Sarcoma Awareness Project (NSAP) has been running since 2013 with the goal of improving the understanding of sarcoma amongst medical students and newly qualified doctors. The project, supported by both Bone Cancer Research Trust and Sarcoma UK, aims to address the issues with delayed diagnoses, unplanned excisions, and late presentations that are, unfortunately, a feature of sarcoma clinical practice.
There is no formal sarcoma teaching in most UK medical school curricula, and therefore the importance of this project remains high. NSAP is currently open to all UK medical students and foundation doctors and aims to improve awareness of sarcoma and encourage surgery and sarcoma specialism as a future medical career.
This quiz should be taken after completing all the reading and e-learning resources that form part of the NSAP. A small number of participants will be awarded a short-term fellowship to a sarcoma centre.
The survey closes on the 31st October 2024 and we will be in touch shortly after this regarding certificates of completion and to confirm fellowship winners.
