Self Employed Midwifery Practice Question Title * 1. Currently Self Employed Midwives practise without Professional Indemnity Insurance (PII) for the Intrapartum period because it is not available commercially. This is because of the small numbers involved in paying premiums. If workable and affordable PII was available - would you be interested in practising as a Self Employed Midwife? No - Self Employed Midwifery Practise does not appeal to me. No - Not at moment, but some time in the future Yes - I am a Student Midwife at present and would like this option to practise, open to me when I qualify. Yes - I am interested in this way of working if workable and affordable PII is available to me. Yes - I would like this option, and also to work within the NHS. Yes - I am currently a Self Employed Midwife, practising without PII, I would very much like to continue to practice this way but with workable and affordable insurance. Done
