Thank you for your interest in Travel Oregon's Why Guides program, an effort to strengthen and uplift Oregon's tour operators and guides through industry engagement and education and prioritized marketing, promotion and media efforts. Travel Oregon recognizes the guiding community's important role in destination stewardship, and built the Why Guides program to facilitate a stronger partnership between tourism organizations and tour operators, guides and outfitters. After completing the Why Guides registry process to join the program, you will receive opportunities for priority marketing and promotion in the US and around the globe, as well as exclusive access to a suite of free educational trainings and networking opportunities.

This registration form will take approximately 15 minutes to complete. We look forward to partnering with you!

There are three requirements for joining the Why Guides Program:
  1. You are a tour operator, guide or outfitter business/non-profit predominantly offering Oregon-based guided experiences in natural landscapes and/or experiences that transport visitors between multiple destination assets and businesses.
  2. Your business has obtained all current and necessary permits and insurance, and your guides have all received the necessary safety certifications relevant to the experiences you provide.
  3. You have claimed or are in the process of claiming your Google Business Profile (GBP).
