Award Application

The Healthiest State Awards is our annual recognition program that celebrates early care programs for implementing best practices to support the physical, social and mental well-being of children.

If you are currently registered with Go NAPSACC, you will now be recognized as a 5-2-1-0 Healthy Choices Count! Early Care Site. If you are not currently registered with Go NAPSACC, please contact Erin Olson at erin.olson@hhs.iowa.gov to get started.

Go NAPSACC’s easy-to-use modules address topics essential to the health of today’s young children. Each module uses tailored tools and best practices to guide childcare providers toward healthy changes. You will select two of the following Focus Areas for your application. The Focus Areas include:

Child Nutrition
Outdoor Play and Learning
Screen Time
Infant & Child Physical Activity
Farm to ECE
