Made in Guilford Nominations 2024 |
This is an opportunity to recognize and celebrate both large companies and small businesses that play a vital role in Guilford County's manufacturing landscape. The awards are divided into two categories – Large Companies and Small Businesses – each with its unique set of criteria to ensure a fair and comprehensive evaluation process.
Large Companies:
- For large companies, the emphasis is on the product. Nominees must submit up to five products, with the major components and/or bulk of the items manufactured right here in Guilford County. While the business doesn't have to be headquartered in Guilford County, a strong operational base or local factory presence is essential. Nominations are open to all, and self-nominations are encouraged. Chamber membership is not a prerequisite.
Small Business:
- Small businesses, defined as those with 100 employees or fewer, must have been in operation in Guilford County for at least a year. To be eligible, they must have a physical product made or manufactured locally. Small businesses must also be headquartered in Guilford County, and nominations are open to both self-submissions and recommendations from others. Chamber membership is not mandatory.
What's at Stake:
- Winners will get exposure on Chamber social media and partner channels, profile features in our email newsletters, and a prominent place in the online directory of nominations. The coveted "Made in Guilford" Trophy, a featured spot at the Safety Awards on June 25, 2024, and an invitation to the accompanying reception await the victors. Moreover, winners will have the opportunity for a one-on-one industry consultation, an official "Made in Guilford" badge for their company website, and a prominent feature in the Greensboro Chamber's 2024 Annual Report, reaching all members and investors.
We encourage everyone to participate in this celebration of local manufacturing excellence. Let's recognize and honor the businesses that make Guilford County proud.
