Blair County Economic Needs Assessment Survey
|
ABCD Corporation and the Healthy Blair County Coalition
Dear Business Leader:
Blair County, like most counties in Pennsylvania, is taking an extended look at ways to better utilize our assets to impact community needs. As part of the effort to build a better community, the Healthy Blair County Coalition in partnership with the Altoona-Blair County Development Corporation, is conducting a community economic needs assessment. Surveys are being sent to a variety of groups but we are asking for your help in completing the Community Economic Needs Assessment Survey to learn more about the strengths and issues that impact your business. We are contacting you because we highly value your opinion, and we believe your insights will help improve all aspects of a healthy Blair County.
In 2012, all hospitals were required by the Affordable Care Act to conduct a community health needs assessment and to develop an intervention plan to meet those community health needs. However, members of the Steering Committee view this as an opportunity to assess and hopefully impact all aspects of a “healthy Blair County” so we encourage participants from all segments of the community to participate. A healthy Blair County means impacting social, economic, emotional, and the physical needs of residents and the community itself.
The survey only takes a few minutes to complete and the questions ask for specific responses that will be compiled into a database for purposes of ascertaining volume and trends. Your individual responses will be kept confidential because we are not tracking who completed the survey. This information will not be used to solicit your business or to encourage you to participate in projects or programs undertaken by any of the participating organizations. However, your participation will help ensure that this is a successful effort. Please complete the survey no later than August 21, 2015.
If you have questions about this survey, please contact us. For more information on the coalition or how to become involved, please visit our website at www.healthyblaircountycoalition.org.
Sincerely,
Coleen Heim, Director Martin J. Marasco
