Call for quotes, photos and videos
Each year, World Diabetes Day is held on 14 November. This year, our theme for World Diabetes Day is “breaking barriers, bridging gaps”.
Celebrating people living with diabetes
This World Diabetes Day, the WHO Global Diabetes Compact would like to highlight the impacts of stigma and misconceptions on diabetes and well-being. The campaign will showcase quotes, photos and videos from people living with diabetes, aiming to highlight individuals from each WHO region. This campaign will be promoted through WHO channels, including social media, newsletters and news releases.
We want to hear from you
We kindly invite you to share your first-hand experiences related to stigma with us. We want to hear if, how and why these experiences have affected your diabetes management and overall well-being. By sharing your experiences, we aim to raise awareness and debunk common misconceptions about living with diabetes.
If interested, please complete this expression of interest by 6 October 2024.
Due to the high number of applications, only selected individuals will be contacted by WHO for further guidance. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. However, WHO may contact you in the future to highlight your experiences in other diabetes-related initiatives.
