Congregational Spirit Map: Sample Survey |
Introduction
Welcome to this congregational Spirit Map sample! This inventory helps congregational boards, ministers, staff, and lay leaders better understand the strengths and opportunities for their congregation's spiritual life overall, and use that information to better articulate the congregation’s purpose and guide the congregation’s programs and ministries.
This sample survey includes three sections:
Section I asks individuals questions about how they feel about their personal spirituality and how they live their life in the world. This section is the heart of Spirit Map.
Section II shows how churches that have defined what difference their church is meant to create in people’s lives can ask congregants for their perception of the extent to which the church community is achieving these outcomes.
Section III, also optional, asks individuals about their participation in church programs and activities and the extent to which they found that participation contributed to their personal spirituality.
