Why does the tool ask for feedback about a census tract?
The Climate and Economic Justice Screening Tool (CEJST) uses census tracts. Getting feedback about a census tract helps to "ground truth" the tool. “Ground truthing” is a way to compare the tool to the real experiences of people in different communities. It helps the tool to better reflect the experiences of the people that live in the tract.

What happens to census tract feedback?
Each piece of feedback is reviewed. The information received about each tract is considered when making updates to the tool. Feedback will improve the tool's methodology and data sources. It can also make the tool easier to use.
