Youth-serving organizations are invited to participate in one private virtual peer support group session for their employees to help them navigate challenging work situations, reduce feelings of burnout, build connection with their teams, and provide a space for peers to share experiences. Groups are facilitated by a trained behavioral health professional from Hope Haven Psychological Resource and can be tailored within the set framework of topics to fit the needs of your organization. Please note: This one-time service is not meant to be a consultation, crisis response, or ongoing counseling service.

Topics covered can include:
  • Managing Change
  • Grief and Loss
  • Achieving Work-Life Balance
  • Coping with Secondary Trauma
  • Crisis and Incident Debriefing
  • Effective Communication
  • Enhancing Organizational Culture or Climate
  • Boosting Morale
Why Peer Supports?

Access to mental health care and the lack of time and space to debrief workplace challenges was identified by youth workers across Indiana as a top concern. Peer Support Groups are designed to help youth workers build community and improve well-being by offering a confidential, virtual space to:
  • Connect with peers and share experiences
  • Gain tools and practices to manage stress and meet demands of roles
  • Reduce feelings of isolation by creating a sense of belonging and community
