PROMPERÚ - the Commission for the Promotion of Peruvian Exports and Tourism - is inviting bartenders to bring Pisco to happy hour in a new cocktail competition for the chance to win a first place prize of $1,500 and a collection of premium Pisco. 
 
The Pisco Aperitivo Cocktail Competition asks Australian and New Zealand bartenders to craft an Aperitivo worthy cocktail using the traditional Peruvian aperitif, Pisco, as the base spirit. Entries are to be submitted online and close on Friday, 18 February 2022 at 11:59PM AEDT. 

From sgroppinos to spritzes, PROMPERÚ is looking for creative cocktails inspired by the cultural drinking occasion of aperitivo while showcasing the versatility and unique flavours of Pisco, Spirit of Peru. 

For the first time ever, PROMPERÚ will award both an Australian and New Zealand first place prize of $1,500 and six bottles of premium Pisco.
 
Recipes will be judged on taste, style, and Aperitivo inspiration to showcase and enhance the flavours of this classic Peruvian spirit.

First prize winners will receive:
$1,500 cash prize
A batch of quality pisco for their bar.
One runner up will receive:
$500 cash prize
A batch of quality Pisco for their bar.
