Join the Michigan State Medical Society and our partnering organizations for an afternoon of learning, discussion, and collaboration. Topics and discussion sessions will be focused on how to move from conversation to action in order to advance health equity for the health and well-being of our families, friends, and neighbors.

 

Objectives:

At the end of this activity, physicians and other participants should be able to:

·         Articulate how rebuilding trust in the medical profession is fundamental to achieving health equity

·         Identify gaps that hinder the ability to achieve improved outcomes and equity in health care

·         Implement strategies to support individuals in attaining optimal health

·         Adopt "best practice" protocols and community linkages to help address social determinants of health

·         Share multi-stakeholder consensus about areas for further research, practice change, and collaboration
