Seeking Focus Group Volunteers -- Inform Updates to City of Des Moines Communication and Engagement Practices

Thank you for volunteering to participate in a focus group to help the City of Des Moines assess ways to improve communication and engagement practices so they best serve the needs and priorities of our diverse and growing community -- including businesses, residents, employees, and visitors.

Focus group participants will be asked to share insights and experiences that will be used to shape updates to City communication and engagement practices.
Focus group feedback, along with community survey responses and input gathered through interviews with City staff, will shape recommendations for City leaders to consider as they look at City resources like staffing capacity and the budget.

Focus Group Details
We are seeking 10 to 15 focus group participants for each group
Date: Friday, October 13, 2023
Time:

Group 1: Business Stakeholders Focus Group: 10:30 a.m. - 12:00 noon (90 minutes in length).
Group 2: Community Member/Resident Stakeholders Focus Group: 1:30 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. (90 minutes).

Location: Focus groups will be held near City Hall and the Des Moines Public Library. Confirmed participants will receive all details and instructions by email.
