Nominate-a-BLOCK Application

For the month of June Detroit's Cannabis Community will be adopting blocks in the cannabis zoned neighborhoods of Detroit for clean-up and beautification. Our goal is to be able to adopt at least four blocks this summer.
What's that adoption include?
  1. Clean up
  2. Beautification project(s)
  3. A block party for each block selected.
Thing to note:
  • Adopt-a-BLOCK- adopted blocks will receive 25K for Neighborhood beautification projects of their choice.
  • Nominate-a-BLOCK- 75% of the blocks home owners must agree on Beautification projects for their block. Have to be in cannabis friendly  zones not drug-free neighborhoods.
  • BLOCK PARTIES DO NOT REQUIRE SPECIAL EVENT PERMITS OR LICENSES. HOWEVER, YOU ARE REQUIRED TO CONTACT YOUR LOCAL POLICE PRECINCT AND COMPLETE THE BLOCK PARTY PERMIT APPLICATION PROCESS. BLOCK PARTY PERMITS WILL NOT BE ISSUED TO COMMERCIAL ENTERPRISES. BLOCK PARTIES DO NOT RECEIVE CITY SERVICES.
