This International Women’s Day, we celebrate under the theme “For ALL Women and Girls: Rights. Equality. Empowerment.” To advance this vision, we are evaluating progress in addressing gender inequalities within DRR, particularly aligning with Priority 2 of the global risk science framework launched by UNDRR, ISC and IRDR: “Addressing Inequalities, Injustices, and Marginalization.”

Last year, IRDR gathered insights from female scientists in IRDR Young Scientists Programme on challenges and solutions. This year, we seek broader perspectives: Is the status improving? Are inequalities being observed, addressed, and resolved? Your feedback will guide actionable strategies to foster inclusive, equitable DRR practices.

Optional Contribution:
To highlight the achievements of women in DRR, we invite you to share a brief description of your current work, a key achievement, and a photo of yourself engaged in DRR activities (e.g., fieldwork, community engagement). Send to: connect@irdrinternational.org.
