MassCEC’s Buildings Team is excited to announce two new pilot initiatives: EmPower Massachusetts and Decarbonization Pathways.
EmPower Massachusetts is an initiative focused on exploring solutions to equitable access to the benefits of clean energy solutions with the best demonstrated capacity to meaningfully reduce energy burden (e.g., solar PV, including community solar, and energy efficiency) for previously underserved populations in the Commonwealth, including Environmental Justice populations, renters, or communities disproportionately impacted by environmental hazards (e.g. air quality).
Decarbonization Pathways seeks to reimagine the energy assessment with the goal of helping homes fully decarbonize in the most streamlined way possible. The first goal of the program will be to develop a new and fully comprehensive residential decarbonization assessment protocol. The next goals will be to perform the assessment on a diverse cohort of around 100 homes, and help those homes create customized decarbonization plans. MassCEC also intends to offer incentives to help the participants move forward with some or all of their decarbonization plan.
To complete the survey, we will ask you to indicate which program you’re interested in learning more about and/or seeking to express interest in. Selecting a program below will take you to a more in-depth description of the program and a series of questions specific to that program. Each program specific feedback section will have approximately 15-20 questions.
