Short Term Rental Survey

FCM has partnered with Generation Squeeze – a national research, education and advocacy organization – to develop a toolkit to help Canadian local governments regulate short term rentals.

The purpose of this 3-5 minute survey is to get an up-to-date understanding of how local governments are currently regulating short term rentals across Canada, and to identify resources that could be included in the toolkit to help local governments working on this issue.

 

A short term rental ("STR") is the renting of a room or entire dwelling (e.g. a house, condo, cabin, etc.) for a short period of time, facilitated by online platforms such as VRBO or Airbnb.

All responses will be kept confidential. We will not release any information that could identify individuals or local governments without their prior consent.
