The follow-up to the Global Strategy for Plant Conservation 2011-2020 will be considered in 2020 as part of the development of a post-2020 global biodiversity framework. The process to develop the framework will be discussed at the second meeting of the Subsidiary Body on Implementation on the basis of this document.
The forthcoming Conference of the Global Partnership for Plant Conservation and the sixth meeting of the Liaison Group on the Global Strategy for Plant Conservation (Cape Town, South Africa 28-31 August 2018) will serve to reflect on the nature and content of a Global Strategy for Plant Conservation beyond 2020 and how it might be integrated into the post-2020 global biodiversity framework. In preparation of the discussions in Cape Town we would appreciate your reflections on the following questions.
