The Mobile Irrigation Laboratory (MIL) is a FREE resource designed to help provide technical assistance to producers with on-farm consultations focusing on water efficiency, pump efficiency and nutrient management. The goal of MIL is to provide growers with important information that will be valuable with increasing irrigation efficiency, which will then help save money on water and energy costs.

Sloughhouse RCD received a water efficiency and technical assistance grant from the California Department of Food and Agriculture's Office of Agriculture and Environmental Innovation. Funding for the program is limited and applications will be reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis. There is also limited funding to provide free pump efficiency testing to about 20 producers each year to evaluate their system.
