California Delegates to the National Convention in Orlando |
California Delegates and Alternates
If you are receiving this survey you are currently either an elected California Delegate or Alternate for the National Libertarian Convention.
The National Libertarian Party's In-Person Convention will be held in Orlando, Florida, from July 9th through 12th at the Rosen Shingle Creek Resort. For more information please go to lnc2020.com/.
The National Bylaws and Rules committee have adopted a proposal that they will be presenting to the delegates at the start of business on July 9th and it will be up to the delegates to decide, with a 2/3 vote, if this proposal is adopted.
The proposal is as follows:
Article 19
REMOTE PARTICIPATION FOR 2020 CONVENTION
For the 2020 Regular Convention, if authorized by their state delegation chair, delegates may register in attendance, be counted as virtually present on the floor, and participate in business remotely through electronic means provided for by the national committee.
Provided, this article shall take immediate effect and be automatically repealed upon the final adjournment of the 2020 Regular Convention.
I am asking each of you to please give me your input on this proposal in the following questions. It’s important that I hear from as many delegates and alternates as possible so California can be fully prepared for whatever the delegates decide.
