Funding Application to Access Mental Health Support

If you or someone you know needs access to animal-assisted mental health support but do not have the financial means, you can make an application here. Please note that our ability to fund services is limited by the donations and grant monies we receive.

If you are eligible for Medicare funded services, then please search our National Directory for Medicare registered animal-assisted therapists. if you can't afford to pay the gap, ATL may cover it. You need a mental health plan from your doctor to get a medicare rebate. Please tell us if you have a mental health plan in your application.

If you are eligible for NDIS funding and have not yet applied to the NDIA, we require you to apply first through your NDIS plan for funded services prior to ATL considering funding your request.

If you are eligible for DVA funding and have not yet applied to the DVA, we require you to apply first through DVA for funded services prior to ATL considering funding your request.

Unfortunately, we can not guarantee that your submission will be funded as we will not be able to fund all applications unless we receive adequate donations. Our board assesses all applications based on available funding and successful applicants will be notified by email. All decisions are final.
