Instructions for Program Submissions

Thanks for your interest in presenting at the 2025 North American Coach Development Summit to be held in person June 9-11 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

The 2025 North American Coach Development Summit will be held in person. We look forward to receiving a wide variety of abstract submissions, both academic AND applied, for the Summit. All Summit submissions will be peer-reviewed for quality, clarity and program fit. In developing your submission, we encourage you to consider the following information.

The Summit audience includes members of the national and global coach education and coach development communities. They come from a variety of settings such as academic programs, multi-sport organizations, national governing bodies, and private industry and include students, academics, organizational leaders, consultants, and independent contractors.

The goal of the Summit is to highlight EVIDENCE-BASED PRACTICAL information that coach educators and coach developers can use in practice immediately, that can inform further research to application work, and to provide an opportunity for coach educators and coach developers to network with their professional peers.

Before submitting, please be sure you have reviewed the program types as well as the program submission guidelines. We have also included sample abstracts to give you a better idea of what your submission should look like.

The Summit offers these program submission categories:
1. Lectures (15 minutes)
2. 5 in 5 presentation (60 min)
3. Master Class (90-120 minutes)
4. Workshop (60 minutes)
5. Posters (student & professionals)
6. Panel (60-75 minutes)

All submissions should include and will be assessed based on the following items:
  1. The target audience(s) (e.g., coaches, coach developers/educators, academics)
  2. Any targeted sport organization(s) such as multi-sport organization, youth club, national governing body or academic setting
  3. Note relevant research
  4. The objective(s) of the presentation
  5. Practical application(s)
  6. Abstracts need to be limited to 300 words or less
Presenting authors of accepted abstracts are required to register for the Summit. No remuneration is offered for submitted abstract presentations.

Do not include any information in your abstract which might identify the submitting presenter in the submission description.

NOTE: Submissions targeted towards product sales and/or product demonstration will not be considered in this process. Inquiries about obtaining a program slot for product sales or demonstration should be sent to summit@USCoachExcellence.org

All submissions are due before 11:59pm ET on December 6th, 2024. If the program has been accepted we will reach out to you to discuss next steps on or before January 5th, 2025. Presenters will be asked to respond to and sign the acceptance letter.
